Seems like lately (and especially since the arrival of the Nexus One,) everyone and their dog wants to jump on the Android platform. From my own experience porting a chunk of jMonkeyEngine over to Android a couple of years ago, and a certain subsequent Android project after that, I have to believe this is a good thing. The platform has matured a lot since those early release candidates and is now generally pleasant to work with. Having new blood and attention in the mix should hopefully only accelerate that trend.
In other news, my brothers and I finished the first cut of that Lode Runner clone mentioned earlier. No sound yet, and still a few bugs I'm sure. If I can find time to webstart it though, I'll put it up here.

any plans on ardord3d vs. android? :)
Yes, there are still such plans. :) For now though, Ardor Labs is not ready to announce those plans.
I definitely like my NexusOne more than my old ADP1. It's too bad Sun dropped the ball on my SavaJe phone.
I'm also more impressed with the experience of developing Android apps versus iPhone apps. But I am more inclined towards Java, and the latter I have just done my standard calculator app on, so perhaps I haven't "gotten used" to iPhone dev enough. :)
I wrote the AllBinary Game Development Kit. It runs on Android, J2ME, & J2SE. I think that adding JME/Arbor would work well for 3D games across Android and J2SE. I already have a basic renderer for OpenGL without a 3D engine.

Ardor3d on Android would be amazing! There are some sweet OpenGL ES demos available out there for the Motorola Droid.
